Can you please help me understand this.
I’ve been battling this internally forever meow, and it’s making me THE ANGRIEST BOY.
THE HAND SIGN.
I thought it was with thumbs out, even on the DFTBA site there’s a picture of it with the thumbs out. ((Here))
And then I researched it more, and had found this answer:
Q. Where did the nerd fighters hand sign come from?
And looking into that further, I searched the ‘Live long and prosper’ hand sign.
Which is thumbs out.
But I KEEP finding that EVERY ONE is doing it with the thumbs in.
I’m fairly certain I’ve even seen John do it with thumbs in.
And it’s just confusing me!!!
The contradictions!
PLEASE HELP ME UNDERSTAND.
((The reason I’m so passionate about this is because in my contest entry for the DFTBA Short Story Contest logo I have a picture of the hand sign. With thumbs out. And I just re-edited the picture so that the thumbs are in. And I’m just wondering what one is correct, or if they’re both correct.))

I always do it with thumbs out. Mainly because I was a Star Trek fan long before I knew about Nerdfighting. But, since the sign was taken from Spok, I think it should be thumbs out.
